Some people make me sick. So now parents can't touch their kids? What the hell. Way to make children feel unloved. I can't believe some of the cases that have come up....

A grandmother making a den with her son, reported by 2 seperate people for acting suspicious, police alerted and followed them home?!

A woman taking a photograph of a fountain was reported for taking pictures of children whom happened to be at the fountain too?!

A father taking photos of his two sons playing on a slide being called a pervert?!

Fathers not being able to touch children, pick them up, hug them, hold their hands?!

WHAT ON EARTH IS THE WORLD COMING TOO. Seriously? I completely understand the case for protecting children against paedophiles but THEIR FAMILY!? Totally not necessary *grumbles*

AVCon is in a few days and I'm studying for supplementary exams :(

I won't have my new pocket money till monday probably, so that sucks. From the guvvie, and my parents, both :(

But come to think of it, what WOULD I buy at AVCon? Possibly more figurines. But of what? I don't quite have a series I'm really hooked on right now, asides from Soul Eater, Nougami Neuro and... lol, what else? Maybe if there's some FFCC figurines, I'll be in trouble. Or FMA ones with better Envy. I guess an XXXHolic Yuuko figurine would make me double over too D:

So today I painted two El's. Weirdest shit ever because all the El's in the city are way too damn pretty and untouchable so I never thought I would get to paint one, none the less 2 and one was a tan *o*. Damn his tan was a hot colour.


But uh yeah. Aden stole a pink wig xD. It's so pretty.

Appa came!  He’s much bigger than I’d expected… he’s supposed to be a 16″ plush, but somehow he just seems huge…. more like 20″ or 22″.  Even so, I think he’ll be a good scale for Aang.  He’s super soft and fairly well made.  I have Appa hanging out on my desk now.  The general concensus is that he’s a bit catepillar-like, and the most frequently asked question is “Why does he have six legs?”  Even so, he is a handsome bison and has received many compliments.

Appa and I would like to go home. ._.

I also decided that my favorite words to look at in writing are “balance” and “miscellaneous.”

Actually, I just pulled out a ruler and I think that they may have accidentally sent me the 22″ inch plush. Hm.  Well.  I’ll see how Aang looks with him when I get home.  The invoice in the box says 16″, but he’s almost two ruler-lengths long.  Should probably email the Nick Store either way and figure out what’s up.

There is so much I want to do tonight, but I think it’s going to continue to rain.  Bummer.  I’ve been so restless the last few nights.  Maybe I can do some modding though, so at least when the weather clears up I can get stuff painted and finished.

Put in the application on the new apartment… hopefully we’ll find out within a week if we’re approved for it.  When we do find out, there will be a lot of packing and cleaning to do.  I want to have every commission out of here before we move so I don’t have to worry about losing or breaking anything durning the move.  I hate moving.  But I think the new apartment will be a nice step up.  The apartment is about 1000 square feet and has air conditioning and a lot more storage space than our current apartment.  Very excited, waiting eagerly to hear if we’re approved.  I can’t wait to get out of our current apartment.

I feel like after I move, I’ll be able to focus more and work and sculpt more efficiently.  I do hope to finish Fawn soon… I have been working on her ears and they are so dissimilar it’s not even funny.  Nice thing is, though, that they are not presently attached… so I can sit them right next to each other and compare to figure out what the problem is.  After her ears I’m on to her horns… then I need to return to the head proper and finish smoothing and work on the inside of the head.

Lots of small frustrations lately, but I am striving to find the small happinesses as well.  I have a lot to be thankful for, and I really shouldn’t complain.

So, wassup? Nothing much. Same old same old. Work, crazy family, great friends, loving bf.

My brother's confirmation party is on Sunday. We have a whopping 7 quests coming (dad, stepmum, bro's friend, sis, nieces and my bf). Good thing we like our parties small and informal. But sometimes it does royally suck to live so far from most of your relatives. A 10-12 hour drive is just insane for one small party.

My ex best friend of 9 years is getting married in August. She's 21. But being a devout Christian, she just can't live with her bf without tying the knot first. I honestly wish her all the best, yet, at the same time, I'm somewhat vaguely shocked. Okay, and to be totally and utterly honest, I laughed for a good time at the thought of their wedding night. Yes yes, if it weren't for the gutters of this world, my mind wouldn't even have a home.

Still, makes one think. 21, getting married. She'll have her degree in a few years. After that? A job, house and mortgage, maybe kids. Lord only knows if I'll ever get married. But I wouldn't have anything against the other things.

I'm slowly starting to believe that I should stop eating chocolate, raw bananas, yeast, cheese, soy, tomatoes, sugar and several other things as well. I'm just so sick and tired of feeling like hell on most days. Not eating milk or gluten has helped a lot. But I'm so far from actually being okay that it's not even funny. Thing is, I really don't need any more limitations to my diet. It's already tricky enough to eat out or with other people. I wouldn't mind living on boiled eggs, porridge and salads, but it's just not possible if one wants to have a social life.

So I was adding my own little bit of negligable lulz to a certain DoD thread when I came up with a kickass name for my dream Yugiri: Zoroaster. Aster for short, most likely, because "Zoro" will make me think of him as some weird ninja-type dude with a rapier. I originally thought Zarathustra, but apparently that name derives from all sorts of "camel love", while Zoroaster comes from the Greek Zōroástrēs, "undiluted stars". Much prettier than "longing for camels", in my opinion.

Bleh, I've been feeling yuckish on and off since last night. Gary just took the puppies outside, so I should go out there with him and figure out what the hell we'll be doing today.

Well, with DoA broken, and me still battling the end of my trials with food poisoning, I decided to edit a couple of photos from Saturday, as poorly as possible. Yup. :B

I have tons of fishy pictures to edit, and lots of Nomiki pictures, but instead I just did two more to add to the one I posted on DoA yesterday of the little Yugiri meetup we had after the official meetup. (That's where the best dolls were anyways. ;P)

I should have Photoshop taken away from me, srsly. These photos look like they were edited by three separate monkeys or something. :U
